The meeting would be at the Chaska Middle School, <br /> 30 Chestnut St., Chaska, beginning at 7 p.m, <br /> State law requires the seven Metropolitan Area c~unties to <br /> submit site inventories to the Council for review. Forms are avail- <br />able from the Secretary of State's Office at 296-3266. <br /> <br />PUBLIC MEETINGS SET ON MITIGATION AND <br />COMPENSATION FOR DISPOSAL SITES <br /> <br /> T'he Metropolitan Council will hold two public meeting~ <br />to solicit ideas from affected landowners and interested <br />citizen~ on mitigating environmental effec~s and compensat- <br />ing communities for the local risk$, costs and other adverse <br />effects of solid waste disposal facilities. The Council has <br />prepared a report, required by the 1980 ~te Wa~e Manage- <br />ment Act, containing recommendations on methods of <br />mitigating environmental effects and compensating affected <br />communities. The report must also identify ways of financing <br />such methods.
