December 6, 1982

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Mr. Edward C. Potter
17665 Argon Street
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303

RE: Violation of Wild and Scenic River Ordinance

Dear Mr. Potter:

On October 15, 1982, Mr. Lloyd Schnelle, City Administrator, informed you that
to attain compliance with the requirements of the D.N.R. and the City of Ramsey
it would be necessary for you to submit a landscape plan for the planting of
some trees in the area where the brush and trees were removed. To date you
have not submitted such a plan nor have you planted any trees.

On Wednesday, December 1, 1982, we again reviewed your property with repre-
sentatives of the D.N.R. while they indicated they felt you had done a fine
job to date, they also indicated that they still felt a landscape plan for,
and the planting of trees along the slope and to the east of the stairway
along the river was essential. Inasmuch as enforcement of the ordinance is
ours, we must inform you we concur with the D.N.R. findings.

Therefore, please be advised that failure on your part to comply with Step 1,
submission of a landscape plan, prior to Friday January 14, 1983 can only be
construed as your intent not to comply.

Should this be the case, this item will be placed on the City Council's agenda
of January 24, 1983 for their further direction in this matter.

Sincerely,

I
I

CITY OF.~AMSEY ..f,~

Clayton R.
