I I Accordingly, the City Accountant's memo to the City Administrator comments as to how Ramsey fits into the State Auditor's Financial Health Profile. Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have received I ~ ~ and reviewe~the above_documents. ~ ~ SE #2: PARK IMPROVEMENT REGARDING CONSTRUCTION OF PROPOSED RECREATION FACILITIES~ I This issue has been disc~sed at the last two regular Council meetings. Mr. Dennis Donovan, Chairman of the Park and Recreation Commission, will be present at their meeting to go over this issue again with the City Council I in regards to getting approval of site location and dollar amount to be spent in 1983 on site improvements. The City Staff has met with Mr. Donovan and the following is submitted for your review and action: i a) Site - Enclosure (D2-e) contains Building Official Berg's report on the two possible sites that have been discussed (Federal property located between Vatiolite Street and Armstrong Blvd. and Raudio property located on TH #47) for park improvements. I have to I ~~,~ concur with the Building Official's reasoning fbr recommending the Federal property in regards to this proposed project. I~ b) Funding for 1983 - Mr. Donovan met with me and the City Accountant and we reviewed the availability of funding for said project (estimated at $73,000 for phase ~1). In reviewing this, it was I, felt that the project should be financed as follows: $20,000 Park'Improvement Dedication Fund 32,000 Federal Revenue Sharing I 21,000 General Fund (Ad Valorem Tax) % $73,000 I c) Scope of Project - Mr. Donovan will cover this with Council at the meeting. I I I I Council Action: Your action will be two-fold at this meeting: 1) Approve/ disapprove of Staff recommendation regarding proposed site and 2) Approve/ disapprove of the proposed dollar amount for proposed 1983 park and recrea- tion project. The following proposed motions are hereby submitted for your consideration: P~o~d motion for site: Motion by and seconded by to approve of the Federal Cartridge site for the proposed park and recreation improvement project providing the area can be acquired from Federal Cartridge. It is therefore directed that City Attorney Goodrich, City Administrator Schnelle and Park ~nd Recreation Commission Chairman Donovan be authorized to negotiate to acquire the 40 acre parcel of land from the above said firm. Further, to report back to the Council when the conditions for acquiring said land have been worked out in order that Cou~ci~ma~ take appropriate action. Motion carried. Voting yes Voting no -)
