If you have any questions, the City Accountant <br /> I will be available to answer them. <br /> <br /> Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have received <br /> I ~ ~ and reviewe~the above_documents. ~ ~ <br /> SE #2: PARK IMPROVEMENT REGARDING CONSTRUCTION OF PROPOSED RECREATION FACILITIES~ <br /> <br /> I This issue has been disc~sed at the last two regular Council meetings. <br /> Mr. Dennis Donovan, Chairman of the Park and Recreation Commission, will be <br /> present at their meeting to go over this issue again with the City Council <br /> I in regards to getting approval of site location and dollar amount to be <br /> spent in 1983 on site improvements. <br /> <br /> The City Staff has met with Mr. Donovan and the following is submitted for <br /> your review and action: <br /> <br /> i a) Site - Enclosure (D2-e) contains Building Official Berg's report <br /> on the two possible sites that have been discussed (Federal property <br /> located between Vatiolite Street and Armstrong Blvd. and Raudio <br /> property located on TH #47) for park improvements. I have to <br /> I ~~,~ concur with the Building Official's reasoning fbr recommending the Federal property in regards to this proposed project. <br /> <br /> I~ b) Funding for 1983 - Mr. Donovan met with me and the City Accountant <br /> and we reviewed the availability of funding for said project <br /> (estimated at $73,000 for phase ~1). In reviewing this, it was <br /> I, felt that the project should be financed as follows: <br /> <br /> $20,000 Park'Improvement Dedication Fund <br /> 32,000 Federal Revenue Sharing <br /> I 21,000 General Fund (Ad Valorem Tax) <br /> % $73,000 <br /> <br />I c) Scope of Project - Mr. Donovan will cover this with Council at the <br /> meeting. <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be two-fold at this meeting: 1) Approve/ <br />disapprove of Staff recommendation regarding proposed site and 2) Approve/ <br />disapprove of the proposed dollar amount for proposed 1983 park and recrea- <br />tion project. The following proposed motions are hereby submitted for your <br />consideration: <br /> <br /> P~o~d motion for site: Motion by and seconded by <br /> to approve of the Federal Cartridge site for the proposed <br /> park and recreation improvement project providing the area can be <br /> acquired from Federal Cartridge. It is therefore directed that City <br /> Attorney Goodrich, City Administrator Schnelle and Park ~nd Recreation <br /> Commission Chairman Donovan be authorized to negotiate to acquire the <br /> 40 acre parcel of land from the above said firm. Further, to report <br /> back to the Council when the conditions for acquiring said land have <br /> been worked out in order that Cou~ci~ma~ take appropriate action. <br /> <br /> Motion carried.
