Councilmember Reimann is in favor of going with the recommendations of the <br />Police Chief and Fire Chief and not allowing a fireworks display this year, <br />therefore possibly avoiding an unnecessary accident. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Diana Doboszenski - This is not a hasty plan on the part of Jimmy B's, we <br />have been working on this idea for some time, but we had to wait until this <br />meeting tonight to get the City's approval. The Fourth of July celebration <br />at Jimmy B's is being initiated as a family day. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec calls for a roll call vote to the motion on the floor. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg - Naye <br />Councilmember Reimann , Aye <br />Councilmember Van Wagner - Aye <br />Councilmember Cox - Naye <br />Mayor Gamec - Naye <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion failed. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br /> of authorizing Mr. James Brown of Jimmy B's American Cafe and Lounge to have <br /> a fireworks display on the Fourth of July during the hours of 9:45 P.M. and <br /> 10:00 P.M. , providing that all stipulations and agreements as set forth by <br /> the City Council through the auspices of Ramsey.Chief of. Police, are met. <br /> Further, that Mr. James Brown'have an experienced pyrotechnic.put on the <br />display. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Van Wagner and Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #5- Rgquest For Payment For 1982 Street Projects; Case Of Consulting <br /> Engineers Diversified: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />approve of CED's billing statement for $32,185.92. However, to authorize <br />payment for only $13,082.84. Further, to authorize the remitting of the <br />remaining $19,103.08 to CED upon the City receiving its State aid highway <br />fund from the State which is keeping with City policy. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Request For Final Payment~ For 1981 Street Projects; Case Of H & S <br /> Asphalt: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />approve of authorizing payment to H & S Asphalt in the amount of $41,691.11 <br />when they have complied with the contents of CED's letter dated June 15, <br />1982 and City Engineer Raatikka's letter dated June 17, 1982. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Cox and Van Wagner.
