I I I I I I I I ;I I I I I I I I I I RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Anoka County is presently developing an inventory of landfills in Anoka County as directed by the Minnesota Legislature's 1980 Waste Mangement Act, and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is currently reviewing Anoka County's proposed landfill sites for suitability, and WItEREAS, Anoka County has proposed a landfill in the City of Ramsey known as Site P, and WIIEREAS, there is presently a landfill being operated in the City of Ramsey consisting of approximately eighty (80) acres which site is legally described as follows: The South one half of the Southeast one quarter of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, and WHEREAS, the City of Anoka has f~e title to the above described parcel along with fee title to the adjacentlf southerly eighty (80) acres which eighty (80) acres is legally described as follows: The North one half of the Northeast one quarter of Section 27, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, and WHEREAS, both of the above parcels are subject to a contract to convey title from the City of Anoka to the City of Ramsey, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has not taken a position on whether or not to oppose or support the proposed Site P, and WHEREAS, there has been certain fluctuation in the area and size of the proposed Site P by the various agencies involved in Site P's selection, and WHEREAS, even though the Ramsey City Council has not taken a formal position on Site P, it appears to said Council that if a landfill is mandated into the City of Ramsey such a sit. ought to include all of the land owned by the City of Anoka. including the present eighty (BO) acres on which -a fill site presently exists, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ramsey City Council as follows: l) That if in fact a landfill is established in the City of Ramsey pursuant to the 1980 Waste Management Act, that said site include all of the property legally described as follows: The South ½ of the Southeast ~ of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, AND The North ½ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 27, Township'32, Range 25 all in Anoka County, Minnesota.
