His concern was with the quality of the <br />footing itself. My inspection confirmed his concern, as the footing seems <br />to have very little structural strength and can be chipped away with a <br />shovel. <br /> <br />~]ere are two possible reasons for this. One being that it froze before <br />it cured and the other being poor quality concrete. The granular appear- <br />ance of the footing would, in my opinion, indicate the latter.
