Hjelm 17811 Erkium Street NW Ramsey, MN 55303 Dear Mrs. Hjelm: Mayor Gamec has forwarded your letter to me dated July 9, 1982 regarding City park development and improvements. In response to your complaint about certain people creating a nuisance at the park, you are advised to contact the police and they will respond. In regards to the mowing of the park, I have spoken to our ~ublic Works Superintendent and this will be accomplished during the week of July 19th and thereafter will be regularly maintained. The Public Works Superintendent also mentioned that he will try and remove the snow fence which is used primarily to separate public land from private property and in lieu of this snow fence, we will install a cable fence which will look much nicer.. In regards to your question about improving this park area into a playground for the neighborhood children, this should be taken up with the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission. They regularly meet on the third Thursday of each month, however, this month they are meeting on Thursday, July 22, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. They have the responsibility of making recommendations to the Council on all park improvements. We would encourage you and your neighbors to go to this meeting. If you have any further questions on any of the above, please feel free to call me at 427~1410.
