Mr. Ask pointed out to the people at this
meeting the mechanics in establishing estimated market valuations on
the above type of land.

Accordingly, the City of Ramsey was informed at the meeting that the
Ramsey City Assessor could if so desired b~Xits City Council establish
these estimated market valuations. Mr. Ask states in the letter which
I am enclosing that there will not be any problem with this procedure
and that the County Assessor would welcome the City of Ramsey lifting
this burden off of his shoulders.

Consequently, the purpose of this letter is to inform you, the County
Board and the County Assessor, Mr. Gayle Leone, that the Ramsey City
Assessor, Mr. Lester Wirz, will establish all of the estimated market
valuations on tillable land within the City of Ramsey.

Should you or any of the above have any objections to the City of Ramsey
handling the establishing of the estimated market valuations on tillable
land in the City of Ramsey, it is requested that you come to the next
regular Ramsey City Council meeting on July 27, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. to
state your reasons for objecting to the above.
