The purpose of Mr. Ask's <br />visit is in response to complaints received regarding Green Acres farmland <br />valuation increases. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and Councilmember Cox stated that the plan to be <br />present at this meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3: Meeting With Commissioner Fields And His Staff Regardin~ Landfill <br /> And Legislation: <br /> <br />Council noted that Mr. Fields and his staff will 'be able to meet with Ramsey <br />City Council on Wednesday, June 16, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center regarding landfill and legislation. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he will be out of town on vacation, but that he will <br />make arrangements to be present at the meeting. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS: <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the Ramsey Economic Development Commission requested <br />that a member of City Council attend their next meeting to enlighten the <br />Commission as to the current status of the landfill matter. <br /> <br />Council replied that the EDC should attend the special meeting,regarding <br />landfill, with-Mr. Fields and his staff scheduled for June 16, 1982 at <br />7:30 P.M. at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Case #4: City Policy Regardin9 Use Of Lower Level at Ramsey Municipal Center: <br /> <br />It has been brought to the City's attention that there are certain civic <br />groups that cannot afford the required deposit for use of the lower level <br />at Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />amend the City's policy regarding use of lower level at Ramsey Municipal <br />Center as follows: <br /> <br />a. That the deposit and/or clean-up fee be waived for Ramsey orientated <br /> civic groups. <br /> <br />b. That the leaders of said groups be willing to sign a form accepting <br /> responsibility for clean-up and/or damages. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to adjourn <br />the Special Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner.
