I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE (1) II,000 LB. 4 x 4 TRUCK AND DUMP BODY FOR CITY STREET DEPARTMENT 1) FORM OF PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT Proposals to furnish the equpment specified must be submitted on the forms included herewith, itemized as therein provided for. Acceptance of the proposml by the City Council shall constitute a contract by and between the City and the Bidder... Contract documents include the Notice and Instructions to Bidder, the Proposal Form, these General Specifi- cmtions, and the Specifications for the truck. 2) BASIS OF AWARD The contrmct may be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, or in the best interests of the City. 3) BIDDERS SURETY 4) A certified check, money order or bidders bond in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany the proposal. The same shall be made out un- conditionally to the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, and in accordance with the terms of the proposal. Said check, money order or bidders bond will be returned to the successful bidder upon satisfactory delivery as stated in the proposal. Checks, money orders or bidder bonds, of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately after acceptance of the successful bidder. PAYMENT Payment will be made to the Vendor after: ' a) Acceptance and approval by the. City of the equipment de- livered; and b) Upon submission of the bill, Or invoice,.priced in accord- ance with the proposal. 5) RIGHT TO HOLD AND REJECT BIDS The City reserves the right to hold any bids for a period of .thirty days from the date set for the opening thereof before acting thereon. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and also to waive informalities. 6) TAX EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE The City will execute a Federal and State tax exemption certificate where applicable.
