:1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />9) <br /> <br />~o) <br /> <br />7) MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />The materials used in construction of the apparatus shall be of the <br />highest quality, free from all defects which would cause any unsightly <br />or unworkmanl~ke appearance. Ail materials shall be suitable for the <br />services which they are tO 'perform and the conditions and stresses to <br />which they will be normally subjected. The vehicle shall be furnished <br />with all items of accessory equipment that is advertised as standard <br />by the manufacturer for the model to be furnished whether or not <br />specific mention is made herein. <br /> <br />The equipment to be furnished under these specifications shall be essen- <br />tially the standard product of the manufacturer. Ail equipment shall be <br />of the best quality normally used for the purpose of good commercial <br />practice and shall be the products of reputable manufacturers. The <br />equipment shall be designed and built in strict accordance with the <br />applicable specifications codes and regulations. Design, material, and <br />workmanship and performance shall equal or exceed the minimum rcquire- <br />ments of these standards and they shall incqrporate the latest accepted <br />practices and usages with respect to design, materials and construction. <br /> <br />8) RIGHT TO OPERATE UNSATISAFACTORY EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />The owner shall have the right to operate any or all apparatus as soon <br />and as long as it is in operating condition whether or not such appa- <br />ratus has been accepted as complete and satisfactory, except that this <br />shall not be construed to permit operation of any apparatus which may be <br />materially damaged by such operation before any required alterations, or <br />repairs have been made by the Contractor. Ail repairs required by the <br />Owner shall have been made by the Contractom at such time as directed by <br />Owner. The repairs and alterations shall be made in such a manner and <br />such a time as will cause a minimum interruption in the use of the appa- <br />ratus by the Owner. <br /> <br />DELIVERY <br /> <br />The Contractor shall state in his proposal the date by which the equip- <br />ment will be delivered to the City. <br /> <br />GUARANTEES <br /> <br />All proposals submitted shall contain the manufacturer's guarantee as <br />to workmanship and materials and shall furthermore include complete <br />performance guarantees. Proposals shall be accompanied by the manu- <br />facturers complete specifications. <br /> <br /> <br />
