I
I
I
I
I
I
I
i
!
i
I

I
I
,I
I
I
I
I

REPORT ON FEASIBILITY STUDY
FOR
SHADY LAWN ESTATES & ZIRCONIUM STREET N.W.
BITUMINOUS STREET PAVING

SCOPE:

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of providing bituminous
streets to serve the above referenced area. This report further provides a cursory
review of the existing drainage system within the project area.

The project area lies within the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4
of Section 10, Range 25 West, Township 32 North, City of Ramsey, Anoka County,
Minnesota.

The project area lies east of C.S.A.H. No. 5 and is generally boundad by Trott
Brook Estates on the north, 167th Avenue N.W. on the south, and Peterson's
Estates and the Klemish Flores Addition on the east.

The project araa is shown on Exhibit A.

EXISTING CONDITIONS:

The present street network consists of a rural street section with a gravel or
sand surface approximately 24 to 28 feet in width. An inspection of the area
revealed that the existing drainage facilities are generally adequate but lack
positive outlets. Therefore, the drainage in the area presently ponds in the
ditches and low areas and percolates into the ground. Also several culverts
were blocked and will require cleaning or adjustments and it appears that the
intersection of Yttrium Street and 169th Lane will need a culvert.

- 1-
