I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> '.1 <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> <br />Cou]~cilmember Cox introduced the foll~.'.,'jr~: rc~olutjon and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~82-25 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council has received Draft Environmental <br />Impact Statement for County Road #116 extension from County State Aid Highway <br />~7 to State Trunk Highway #47. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey City Council has reviewed the alternative listed <br />in the above Draft Environmental Impact Statement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF R3tMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City of Ramsey supports the alternative 3 alignment for the <br />Rum River Bridge Crossing. <br /> <br /> 2) The City of Ramsey does not see any negative environmental impacts <br />created by Alternative 3. <br /> <br /> 3) The City of Ramsey encourages that this bridge crossing be con- <br />structed as soon as possible to provide the following critical services to the <br />City of Ramsey: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The only r'oute free of railroad crossings for emergency <br />vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks and police vehicles. <br />Currently, these vehicles are held up at the railroad cross- <br />ings by slow-moving trains. <br /> <br />b) This bridge crossing would provide a safer and more 'economical <br /> route for school buses. <br /> <br />This ~ridge crossing would.eliminate the need for use of the <br />poorly constructed State Highway #47 through Anoka which is a <br />highly congested area. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamect Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and Van Wagner <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following member(s) were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Re imann <br /> <br /> <br />
