I I I I I I I I I I I I I PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Regular Meeting of April 15, 1982 Members Present: Don Lokker, Janice Johnson, Dennis Donovan, John Lichter Members Absent: Terry McLean, Ron Hetland Others Present: Ted and Mary Kay Rouse, Jack and Margaret Biessel, Jean Schlueter The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. The March meeting minutes were read by Chairman Donovan. Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Lokker to approve of the March 18, 1982 minutes as present. Motion carried. Voting yes: Commissioners Lokker, Lichter, Donovan and Johnson. Voting no: None. A discussion was held about scheduling the ballfields at Titterud Park. The Com- mission agreed that the RYAA should schedule the field to reserve it for their teams. The Commission will provide a letter stating this authority for the' RYAA coaches. Commissioner Lokker said that the RYAA and other athletic associations are hurting for playing space. District #11 schools are suggesting that they may charge rent for recreational facilities. Four members of the RYAA were present and indicated the need for more fields. They suggested some development of the Federal Cartridge property even if it was very limited.
