Commissioner Schmidt asked Chairman Greenberg what the value of his stock is. Chairman Greenberg said he didn't know but saw no problem with changing to non- profit. He felt he'd like to get his investment back. It would be beneficial to rely on someone. Commissioner Jensen said that once we'd get some excess baggage, it would not be beneficial. Chairman Greenberg stated that his personal feeling is that they could devote the entire next meeting to this subject. Commissioner ~.4enkveld suggest that they have a special meeting where they can devote the entire meeting. City Administrator Schnelle suggested they talk to someone at Coon Rapids, perhaps get a contact person there. Co~mmissioner Uults informed everyone that he had already done that and he has handouts and information from Coon Rapids. Motion by Con~issioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Fults to have a special meeting of the Ramsey Economic Development Commission on March 17, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. for the purpose of discussing the Local Development Corporation. Discussion: Commissioner Schmidt and Commissioner Sentryz stated at that time they would be unable to attend this meeting. Chairman Greenberg stated they should figure out a day and time the entire Economic Development Commission could meet. Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Fults to rescind their motion for a special meeting on March 17, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. Mayor Gamec stated that the City has plenty of time, that it would just be a formality. City Administrator Schnelle stated that at this time he had met with Councilman Cox and an engineer from the Metro Council. He had discussed with them a new approach to sanitary sewer systems/disposal plants. There has been some new innovations in waste water treatment plants. There will be no meeting with any Commission regarding this until they get all the prices together. They will be getting back to Ramsey at a later date. Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Sentryz to have a special meeting on March 31, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. to discuss the subject of the Local Development Commission. Motion carried. Voting yes: Commissioners Greenberg, Guy, Schmidt, Schneider, Fults, Menkveld, Sentryz, Miller, Muller and Jensen. Voting no: None. EDC/March 10, 1982 Page 6
