Filmore <br />Fridley, Minnesota 55421 <br /> <br />Dear Commissioner O'Bannon: <br /> <br />Please find attached a copy of a draft resolution which I have asked <br />Ralph to prepare for your possible consideration at our next Board <br />meeting of Tuesday, February 9, 1982. <br /> <br />The purpose of this resolution is to respond to the numerous inquiries <br />and urgings which I have received from a number of municipalities in my <br />District. As you are aware, the local governmental aids formula, the <br />fiscal disparities act, and the entire property tax structure of the <br />State of Minnesota has come under much criticism by the developing <br />communities here in Anoka County. I am of the opinion that it is about <br />time that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners pay attention to the <br />concerns being expressed by the municipal representatives in our County <br />and take it upon ourselves to discuss in detail with the Anoka County <br />Legislative Delegation the direction and future of the taxing policy and <br />revenue distribution formulas of the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />I have also enclosed a number of information pieces which have been <br />provided by the Ramsey City Council and are self-explanatory. <br /> <br /> <br />
