Parks <br /> <br /> 300 Metro' Square Building <br />Saint Paul, Minnesota 5510 <br /> Telephone 612/291- 6359 <br /> <br />The Anoka County Comprehensive Plan conforms with the <br />Regional Recreation Open Space System as defined by the 1977 <br />system statement. <br /> <br />The Plan should be amended under the provisions of Minnesota <br />Statute 473.856 to include the potential regional trail <br />corridors in the County. <br /> <br />'4. Airports <br /> <br />Anoka County should monitor and coordinate 'with the affected. <br />governmental units concerning future roadway actions in the Anoka- <br />Blaine Airport area.. <br /> <br /> i <br />Zl <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />The Plan.appears basically compatible with the plans of adjacent <br />governmental units and the affected school districts.. The County <br />should continue to cooperate with the cities, townships and other <br />units of government in addressing comments raised during the Plan <br />review. <br /> <br />The Plan relates to other adopted Metropolitan Development Framework <br />Guide chapters as follows: <br /> <br />The Plan is consistent with the Metropolitan Development <br />Fnamework Guide chapter with one exception. The County should <br />delete Policy 11 on page LU-21 or modify it so as to not <br />encourage the use of'intermediate or long-term agricultural <br />preservation devices in the County's General Urban Area. <br /> <br />2. Metropolitan Investment Framework <br /> <br />The County should follow the definition in MSA 473.852, <br />Subdivision 4, when preparing its capital improvement <br />program(s). Each program should show projects planned for-a <br />five-year prospective period, a statement concerning the <br />need_for each project, the financial sources, and the <br />financial impact that each improvement will have on the <br />County.
