Solid Waste <br /> <br />The County is referred to the review made by the Council of the <br />County's Solid Waste Master Plan. <br /> <br />ADVISORY COMMENTS <br /> <br />A. Local Parks <br /> <br />Anoka County has eight other county parks and one proposed park which <br />are not part of the Regional Recreation Open Space System. These <br />parks have been or will. be developed .to compliment.the regional park._. . .... <br />facilities. Consequently county residents receive adequate <br />recreation services in a cost-effective manner. <br /> <br />B. Solar Access <br /> <br />The Omnibus Energy Act of 1978 requires local governments to include <br />a land-use plan element for protection and development of access to <br />direct sunlight for solar energy systems. This Act was passed after <br />the Metropolitan Land Planning Act and is an amendment to the <br />Planning Act. At this time there are no guidelines for how local <br />governments are to response to. solar, access, planning requirements, ~L <br />but the Anoka Count~ Plan s~ould briefly address the subDect.
