Column number two <br />shows the heat loss cost of a house built with a double 2 x 4 wall with <br />tx~th wa].]_s insulated and a 1 inch air space between them. <br /> <br />Note the calculations show that the second alternate with double walls <br />results in a minimal savings. The real savings per year is the 'automatic <br />vent damper which is now approved for installation on gas appliances. <br /> <br />These were provided by Mr. Clough of Elk River, the previous building <br />inspector for the City of Andover. <br /> <br />CRB: p o <br /> <br /> <br />
