The City of Ramsey is committed to working with property owners within the officially <br />mapped portion along Highway 10 to acquire properties from willing sellers. The City <br />will follow the property acquisition process identified under Metropolitan Council and <br />Mn/DOT guidelines for acquiring right-of-way and access the Revolving Acquisition <br />Loan Fund program. <br /> <br />Supporting roadways <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey will continue working with Anoka County to plan for necessary <br />improvements that will enhance existing and future Highway 10 access and travel <br />demand needs. The two primary areas include: <br /> <br />· Alpine Drive - identify potential future connection to Jarvis Street in the City of <br /> Elk River as part of the Highway 10 realignment. <br />· South side of Highway 10 - continue to work with Anoka County to develop <br /> frontage road system as a collector to the west. <br /> <br />County Road 116 <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey will support improvements to CR116 including Anoka County's plan <br />to upgrade the intersection at Dysprosium/Thurston and CR116 to a signalized <br />intersection as well as the conversion of CR116 between Dysprosium/Thurston to State <br />Highway 47 to a 4-lane roadway. <br /> <br />In addition, the City supports the conversion of CR116 to a 4-lane roadway between <br />Dysprosium/Thurston to Sunfish Lake Boulevard (CR57). <br /> <br />Mississippi River Bridge Crossing <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey will continue to identify and implement corridor preservation <br />strategies to protect the future river crossing alignment identified by Mn/DOT and <br />documented in the Scoping Document. <br /> <br />The City will also continue to work with Anoka County and Mn/DOT to study the <br />possibilities of future TH169 connection thru Ramsey, and other related improvements. <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey recognizes other areas within the community where safety and/or <br />mobility issues are of concern.
