Anoka County Highway Improvement Projects. <br />Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard/CR 83 Interchange Construction Update. <br />Construction of the Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard interchange project resumed this week, <br />and construction is proposed to be complete in late May or early June. The westbound on-ramp <br />to Highway 10 is tentatively proposed to be closed to traffic for several days starting March 28th. <br />The intersection of Armstrong Boulevard and Sunwood Drive will remain a 4 -way STOP <br />controlled intersection until the traffic signal at the top of the ramps to/from westbound Highway <br />10 are operational, which will be near the end of construction. And the median crossover from <br />westbound Highway 10 to Traprock Street will be closed to traffic near the end of construction. <br />Proposed Armstrong Boulevard/CR 83. Pavement Reclamation Project. Anoka County is <br />proposing to complete a pavement reclamation project on Armstrong Boulevard/CR 83 between <br />149th Avenue and 173rd Avenue this summer. The pavement reclamation process involves <br />grinding the existing pavement section into small pieces, placing the ground up pavement back on <br />top of the compacted subgrade soil, compacting the ground up pavement, then adding a 4 inch <br />layer of new bituminous pavement on top of the reclaimed pavement. Anoka County is <br />proposing to complete a pavement reclamation project on Bunker Lake Boulevard/CR 116 <br />between. Ramsey Boulevard/CR 56 and Basalt Street this summer. Nice weather is just around the corner and <br />it is time to think about Spring projects. The Anoka Conservation District (ACD) is accepting <br />orders for the 2016 Tree and Shrub sale. <br />The ACD is offering 25 varieties of economically priced seedlings and transplants, sold in bundles <br />of 10 and 25 for just a little over $1 per -tree. They are now taking pre -orders until April 21, or <br />until sold out, with any remaining stock (if any) sold at the tree and shrub pick up on April 30 at <br />the Anoka County Fairgrounds between 9:00 am -11:00 am. You do not need to be an Anoka <br />County Resident to order! <br />To assist you in making your selection, the www.AnokaSWCD.org website features each species <br />with detailed descriptions and images of each of the varieties being offered. The website also <br />contains information about the kinds of trees and shrubs to plant in your particular situation along <br />with planting directions.
