City Administrator Schnelle explained the City of Ramsey employees do perform but you don't see the background effort. He had seen how many employees it takes in other cities to get the same.job done and we have also kept costs way down. There are enough reports published to prove this -- even at the State Auditor's office. He stated he didn't know what more you can expect of your employees. Government employees should be productive and should be paid well for their productivity because in the long run they will save the City money. Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to raise all salaries of all full time City employees to the midpoint range within their respective positions. Further, all salary increases which ex- ceed the 15% or more will be phased in over a 21 month period. Those salary increases less than 15% will be effective January 1, 1982. The following salary schedule will hereby be followed in granting the 1982 salary in- creases for fulltime City employees: a) City employees whose salary increases are less than 15%: Position Name Annual Salary 1980 New annual salary Elf.
