I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Mr. Lloyd G. Sc~-unelle - Page 2

October 26, 1981

Since this is a sizeable discount, over what the Nordstrom Risk Group would
charge, it obviously is in the best interest of the City to carry on with the
Home Insurance Co,loamy.

Under the Worker Compensation Program, the 31% discount also applies from the
Hor~ Insurance Company and we find that this would be competitive to the program
thro~gh thc F~r~].oyee Benefit Administration Co~pany in Minneapolis. Since it
pays to keep all of the insurance with one carrier, because it gives the City
more premium w~th that particular company and the fact that if there is any
question of claim coverage between worker comp and public liability, having
it in one company makes the discussion of where to pay the claim simplified.
Therefore, in looking at the co~oetitor to the Home Insurance Company, we find
that since they are not paying a dividend on the liability, property, crime,
and inland m~ine, the best purchase price is the current carrier, the Home
Insurgence Company. In view of the fact that the 31% dividend applies on the
wopkers' corrpensation policy through the Home Insurance Company~ we find that
that is very competitive to the dividend offered by the Employee Benefit Admini-
stration Company and we feel that the engineering service and loss control service
of the Home Insurance Company is also an added feature.

I would like to thank the City Council at the City of Ramsey for the continuation
of their acco~nt with our Agency, and I would certainly like to thank you for the
cooperation that you and your staff have given us in the preparation of these
r~newals.

Sincerely yours,

INSURANCE SERVICE CENTER
Ne ~%wel~l L. Ctnes~r
President

NLC/dr
