I
I

PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

A Public Hearing was called to order by Mayor Gamec regarding Improvement
Project #81-19 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.,
Pamsey, Minnesota, at 7:43 P.M.

Members Present:

Mayor Gamec
Councilmember Sorteberg
Councilmember Reimann

Al_so Present:

City Administrator Schnelle
City Engineer Raatikka
City Building Official Berg

blembers Absent:

Councilmember Cox
Councilmember Van Wagner

Presentation by City Engineer of Improvement Project #81-10 and proposed
assessments to the audience.

Mr. & Mrs. Wilhelm - 9501 173rd Avenue N.W. Presented a letter to the
Council stating their objections to be assessed for this project. Also
wanted to know why other units on Baugh were not assessed for this
project.

Mayor Gamec - Some of those units fall under Green Acres.

Mrs. Wilhelm - We have Green Acres.

Mayor Gamec - If you are Green Acres, the County will automatically pick
up your assessment, but to be sure you better talk to the County Assessor
yourself. The City picks up Green Acres until you develop the property,.
at which time you will be accountable for the assessment.

Mayor Gamec notes receiving letter from Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Jacobs dated
October 8, 1981.

Ralph Nissen - 9230 169th I purchased this property as one unit and now
I have been assessed for two units. How do I have this parcel changed to
one unit?

Mayor Gamec - I think it's too late now.

Ralph Nissen - The second unit is not really buildable. It is all swamp.
I have less acreage than some people who are paying only one assessment.
The Cul-De-Sac is of absolutely no use.

i C/October 14, 1981
Public Hearing
i Page 5
