However, under
the law, the Commissioner of Revenue has the authority to extend the time
if--for reasons beyond their control--you are not able to determine your
levy amounts by October I0.

I
I
I
I

The Commissioner of Revenue has extended the time for filing pr6perty tax
levies for school, districts to November 5 this year. This is the latest
date that will be allowed for the filing of property tax levies to the
county auditors for 1982.

The Commissioner of Revenue has given me the authority to extend your time
for filing to the November 5 date.

Although I am approving your request to extend the time for filing your
levies, I would appreciate your making every effort to determine your levy
prior to November 5. Lengthly delays certifying the amounts could result
in complicating the determination of property taxes for this coming year.

I

Very truly yours,

I

I

Wallace 0.
