CASE #7: ENGINEERING (BID ON PAVING CITY HALL LOWER LEVEL PARKING AREA): As requested by City Staff, the City Engineer acquired a bid from H & S Asphalt Company to pave the lower level parking lot and driveway. The bid amounted to $7,280 based on 2,600 square yards at $2.80/SY. This bid was tabled at your last Council meeting. Council Action: Your action will be to accept/reject the bid to pave the lower level parking lot. The following motion is hereby submitted for your consideration regarding this case: Motion by Councilmember and seconded by Councilmember to adopt Resolution #81- , accepting/rejecting bids to pave the lower level parking area and driveway. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #81- .) Motion carried. Voting yes Voting no CASE #8: PROPOSED ZONING OF GENERAL MILLS PROPERTY IN CITY OF RAMSEY: I met with Mr. Latvaaho, General Mills Representative, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 1981 at the Ramsey Municipal Center regarding their property and type of zoning they would like to eventually have on it. They are most concerned about the type of zoning our Comprehensive Plan currently reflects which is R-1. They don't want it shown as such for a number of reasons. Comments: What they will be asking the Ramsey City Council for is a proposed Zoning designation for their land which would provide for the following categories: I I I I I a) Commercial b) Industrial c) Residential Currently, the City of Ramsey has not gotten into this type of zoning. Mr. Latvaaho will be here to discuss this with the City Council. I do ~ think it is important to get this matter resolved before the Compre- hensive Plan~maps are finalized.
