Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-03-058 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00, DIVISION B; 2016 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 8th, 2016, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed bituminous pavement mill and overlay improvements on the segment of Sunwood Drive from Sunfish Lake Boulevard to the bridge located east of 147th Lane and west of Krypton Street within the City of Ramsey as Division B of the 2016 Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant work as needed; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for 25 -percent of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, and in accordance with Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City's Special Assessments Policy; and WHEREAS, the City Council received the Feasibility Report on March 22nd, 2016; and WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible, and whether they should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for Division B of City Improvement Project #16-00 in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for 25 -percent of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues Chapter 429, and in accordance with Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special Assessments Policy at an estimated total cost of $301,000. 2. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on April 12th, 2016 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
