Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-03-058 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00, DIVISION B; <br />2016 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 8th, 2016, a <br />Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed bituminous <br />pavement mill and overlay improvements on the segment of Sunwood Drive from Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard to the bridge located east of 147th Lane and west of Krypton Street within the City of <br />Ramsey as Division B of the 2016 Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant <br />work as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for 25 -percent of the cost <br />of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br />Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City's Special Assessments Policy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received the Feasibility Report on March 22nd, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible, and whether they should best be made as <br />proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for Division B of City <br />Improvement Project #16-00 in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the <br />assessment of benefiting properties for 25 -percent of the cost of the improvements <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statues Chapter 429, and in accordance with Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special Assessments <br />Policy at an estimated total cost of $301,000. <br />2. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on April 12th, 2016 in the Council <br />Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice <br />of such hearing and improvements as required by law. <br />
