I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer also made note of a letter he received from City <br />Administrator Schnelle dated August 5, 1981, regarding fire bills. <br />The letter stated that the writing off of fire bills is merely <br />administrative accounting procedure. <br /> <br />D-2 PLANNING C~ISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Wes Bulen to discuss proposal for golf course. <br /> <br />IVes Bulen presented preliminary sketches of a proposed 9-hole golf <br />COUrSe. <br /> <br />IVes has been informed by City and County Assessors, that with the current <br />zoning rules, his taxes on the golf course could be any~here from $12,000- <br />$20,000/year. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg stated that the commission ghould re-zone, either <br />a special zone or B-1. His personal opinion was to go. to a special zone. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer advises Mr. Bulen to bring in the golf course as a pUD. <br /> <br />gmir~mn Peterson advised Wes Bulen to 'have a request"Tor re-zoning put <br />on the agenda for the October 6, 1981,'Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg was asked to get a ruling from City Attorney <br />Goodrich as to Mmther or not the golf course could be zone Rural Open <br />Space. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer foresees a considerable traffic increase at the <br />proposed intersection'of the golf course. <br /> <br />Wes Bulen stated that he had been advised by the State High~ayDepart-. <br />ment that there Should be no major problems. He would probably have to <br />relocate his entrance to the property to the corner and someday he might <br />be required to have a right turn lane into the golf course. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schneider wondered if re-zoning this area now, not so much <br />for a golf course, but for a clubhouse with coffee shop, couldn't maybe <br />lead to some legal problems since in years past re-zoning of this <br />approximate area has been denied by the City Council. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />PLANNING CO~ISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson inquired as to the progress of the recodification of <br />the City Ordinances. <br /> <br />Building Official'Berg stated that the recodification is not yet complete. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated he would like to see a conciseness in the <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br /> ~' 'P ~ Z/September 1, 1981 <br /> Page 2 - : . <br /> <br /> <br />
