I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJ: <br /> <br />Ramsey City Council <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Staff Report for August 1981 <br /> <br />1) Finance - The following is submitted on this case: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Levy Limit for 1982 - Enclosure (Dl-a) contains a letter from <br />the Minnesota Department of Revenue dated August 14, 1981 which <br />contained the maximum dollar amount ($745,329) the City of Ramsey <br />can levy in 1982. It also forwarded the amount of State Aid we <br />will receive in 1982 which will be $159,744. Also enclosed are <br />the blank forms which we will have to fill out. There was a change <br />in the low which could have a big affect on the City if the levy <br />limit law remains in effect. Whatever you'levy for 1982 will be- <br />come your base for computing the levy in 1983. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />City's 1982 Proposed Bhdget - The proposed-budget was submitted <br />to the Council Budget committee during the week of August 10, 1981. <br />They met on August'17, 1981 and then requested that the Council <br />Personnel committee provide them with recommended nu~mbers'regarding <br />1982 salaries. Cumrently, the Council Personnel Committee is <br />working on'it. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />~o~prehensive'Plan- We are working on this and should have it completed <br />by the middle of September 1981. It is very critical that it comes be- <br />fore Council on September 22, 1981. <br /> <br />Water Study Plan ' This will be coming before Council at your September <br />8, 1981 meeting. Couhcil will have to set up a date to review it with <br />the City Engineer. <br /> <br />4)''Ordinances - We have been at a standstill on this, mainly due to the <br /> workload.
