EVALUATION OF CONCEPTS <br />Relieving the westbound bottleneck at Fairoak Ave. dropped the expected delay and anticipated crashes greatly at <br />and approaching Fairoak. Since more vehicles would now make it to Thurston Ave. quicker, it was anticipated that <br />delay and crashes would increase at Thurston. Overall, corridor delay and the number of crashes would decrease. <br />Project Group 3 — Thurston Ave. Westbound Free Flow <br />Working east to west, the next step in relieving congestion in the corridor was to grade -separate westbound <br />traffic from the Thurston Ave. intersection (project 5-2-1). <br />HIGHWAY 10 ACCESS PLANNING STUDY 64 <br />
