PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey Planning commission conducted a work session on Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Lake <br />Itasca room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Chairperson Levine (arrived at 5:38 p.m.) <br />Commissioner Andrew Andrusko <br />Commissioner Randy Bauer <br />Commissioner Ralph Brauer <br />Commissioner Matthew Maul <br />Commissioner Van Scoy <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Cindy Nosan <br />Also Present: Community Development Director Tim Gladhill <br />City Planner Chris Anderson <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairperson Bauer called the work session to order at 5:36 p.m. <br />PUBLIC HEARING/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />Review Preliminary Draft 2016 Planning Commission Work Plan <br />Community Development Director Gladhill introduced the case and reviewed current topics. <br />Commissioner Brauer noted EDA should not take lead on business incubation. He thought maybe a task <br />force would be more appropriate. <br />Commissioner Bauer suggested working with a community college business unit to do some leg work. <br />Commissioner Brauer added that the following two items be added under the Comprehensive Plan: <br />Tax Directed Planning — look at property approval based on tax generation <br />Traffic — suggests the City look at big picture of east/west and north/south traffic. Utilize <br />expertise on the Planning Commission. <br />Commissioner Brauer also would like to see added under the COR Development Plan: <br />Use ramp for parking and place moratorium on housing around ramp. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION WORK SESSION/FEBRUARY 4, 2016 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
