The event also includes free document <br />destruction (paper shredding) for residents to securely dispose of papers containing personal data <br />(limit of 3 boxes per vehicle) and free disposal of used oil, oil filters and antifreeze. On Thursday, April 14, City of Ramsey <br />staff welcomed 52 third grade students from PACT Charter School for a tour of the Ramsey City <br />Hall. The students enjoyed a behind the scenes look at the Ramsey Police Department, explored <br />a Ramsey fire truck and Public Works street sweeper, and learned about the City Council from a <br />front row seat in the Council Chambers. Thanks to everyone who visited us at the 8th <br />Annual Ramsey EDA Business Expo on Saturday, April 16 at the Fountains of Ramsey. We <br />enjoyed meeting many local business representatives and Ramsey residents! An estimated 300 <br />guests stopped by for an afternoon of giveaways, demonstrations, coupons and information from <br />50 participating vendors. Attached to the Weekly Update is a Recap of the 2016 Ramsey EDA <br />8th Annual Business Expo. <br />Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Public Meeting- Thursday, April 21. The City of <br />Ramsey is conducting a public meeting at the Ramsey Municipal Center on Thursday, April 21, <br />from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. to allow interested citizens an opportunity to comment on the Revised Storm <br />Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br />(MPCA), on October 30, 2013 as required by the City's National Pollution Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) Phase II Storm Water Permit. A brief presentation will provide background on <br />the permit requirements and annual report material, which will be submitted prior to June 30, 2016. <br />Time will be available during the meeting for oral statements from the public. <br />Ramsey Blvd. Closed April 25-29 for BNSF Railroad Repair. Ramsey Blvd will be closed at <br />the Burlington Northern <br />Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad <br />tracks near Hwy 10 for <br />repair of the railroad <br />crossing surface, Monday, <br />April 25 through Friday, <br />April 29.
