Attach additional sheets if necessary.
84
84
92
94
Date
1
This really should depend on the size of the project. For example if I would be build a giant apartment building 30
business days should more than appropriate. But since I am a septic guy 10 days for a septic permit should be
maximum amount of appropriate and it would be very appropriate if the permit can be processed in 5 days.
4/5/2016 9:20 PM
2
Since I am a homeowner, my experience is limited; I am basing my response on basic customer service principles.
4/5/2016 8:59 AM
3
In my experience... 3 trips are required to satisfy the present system. As many radon contractors are in the metro
area... trip (1) take time to drive out to submit a plan and pay for the permit. Trip (2) once review process is done (10
days) return to install the system. Trip (3) schedule return trip to meet with the city inspector.
4/5/2016 8:33 AM
4
We do rooting, Gutters, Siding, Windows.
4/4/2016 3:17 PM
5
I would rather have plan review do a complete job the 1st time. Waiting a few extra days for a permit is time well
spent...IMO
4/4/2016 11:30 AM
6
1-2 days would be acceptable for a plumbing permit
4/4/2016 10:07 AM
7
My business, Express Signs Inc, does temporary black rental signs for many businesses/events in Ramsey. (Including
city events like Happy Days & Business Expo). Most of our customers are wanting signs up the week they order them.
5 days would be the maximum turn around time to keep my business operating at a pace that keeps the customers
satisfied.
3/31/2016 8:53 AM
8
I have not done much work in Ramsey, but for most small projects, I would like the permit on the spot before I leave
the building.
3/31/2016 5:37 AM
9
Electrical permits from electrical contrctors should be able to be applied for and paid for on line either by credit card or
through an account.
3/30/2016 5:42 PM
10
Usually our work is only scheduled about 5 -10 business days out. Any time longer than that and we wouldn't have the
permit in time for the job to start.
3/30/2016 4:41 PM
11
Based on other cities - typical turn around time is 2-3 days
3/30/2016 1:08 PM
12
plumbing permit paid for on building permit!!
3/30/2016 10:24 AM
13
Information is recieved via email in les than 1 hour on average.
3/30/2016 10:06 AM
14
Because we do electrical service and repair for existing homeowners, it's important our permits get processed asap.
Often there is an electrical issue that needs addressing but we have to wait for permit before we can do the total
repair to fix the problem. Our home office isn't located in Ramsey area so we need to send in permit via post office or
pay employee to drive to Ramsey.
3/30/2016 9:44 AM
15
With an apartment building of any size, 20 days seems to be the least amount of time to appropriately review the
plans and provide comment.
3/30/2016 9:20 AM
16
I primarily apply for window, siding, roofing permits. They always are handled at the counter, which is great. I have
done other types of work on customers homes. The time frame has always been very acceptable. There are cities,
such as Spring Lake Park, that is very frustrating, the lenghty process they have. Ramsey does very well in my
opinion.
3/30/2016 9:13 AM
17
Immediately online would be the ideal!
3/30/2016 9:00 AM
18
Average turn -around time has been 7.4 days.....would like to see this reduced to 5 or less if possible.
3/30/2016 8:57 AM
7/19
