For example if I would be build a giant apartment building 30 business days should more than appropriate. But since I am a septic guy 10 days for a septic permit should be maximum amount of appropriate and it would be very appropriate if the permit can be processed in 5 days. 4/5/2016 9:20 PM 2 Since I am a homeowner, my experience is limited; I am basing my response on basic customer service principles. 4/5/2016 8:59 AM 3 In my experience... 3 trips are required to satisfy the present system. As many radon contractors are in the metro area... trip (1) take time to drive out to submit a plan and pay for the permit. Trip (2) once review process is done (10 days) return to install the system. (Including city events like Happy Days & Business Expo). Often there is an electrical issue that needs addressing but we have to wait for permit before we can do the total repair to fix the problem. Our home office isn't located in Ramsey area so we need to send in permit via post office or pay employee to drive to Ramsey. 3/30/2016 9:44 AM 15 With an apartment building of any size, 20 days seems to be the least amount of time to appropriately review the plans and provide comment. 3/30/2016 9:20 AM 16 I primarily apply for window, siding, roofing permits. They always are handled at the counter, which is great. I have done other types of work on customers homes. The time frame has always been very acceptable. There are cities, such as Spring Lake Park, that is very frustrating, the lenghty process they have.
