Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-04-072 RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR INFLOW AND INFILTRATION PROGRAM; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-65 WHEREAS, The City's I/I reduction program for 2016 will consist of replacing chimney seals and adjustment rings on 37 manholes in our system; and WHEREAS, the City contracted Bolton & Menk to prepare plans and specifications for the purpose of bidding the proposed 2016 Inflow and Infiltration Program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 8, 2016 the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for said improvements; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on April 5, 2016 and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and CONTRACTOR (TOTAL BID Dryden Excavating $72,176.00 (Dave Perkins Contracting Inc $79,500.00 (Urban Companies $134,820.00 Pember Companies Inc $142,255.00 New Look Contracting Inc $149,850.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Dryden Excavating in the amount of $72,176.00 for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Dryden Excavating in the amount of $72,176.00 for Inflow and Infiltration Program Improvements. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #16-04-072 Page 1 of 2
