Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-04-060 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00, DIVISION B; <br />2016 MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on February <br />8th 2016, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />bituminous pavement mill and overlay improvements to Sunwood Drive from Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard to the bridge east of 147th Lane and west of Krypton Street as Division B of the 2016 <br />Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant work as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on March <br />22nd, 2016, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered <br />for April 12th, 2016 at 7 p.m. where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements <br />for said street in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br />Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City's Special Assessments Policy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing for the proposed <br />improvements on April 12th, 2016. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report accepted by Council on March 22nd, 2016. <br />2. Pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, and in accordance with Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special Assessments <br />Policy, benefiting properties shall be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the <br />improvements, which have an estimated total cost of $301,000. <br />3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br />RESOLUTION #16-04-060 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
