4.1.3 Other Considerations <br />Driveways: <br />Three driveways directly access this segment of Sunwood Drive, and since concrete curb <br />and gutter separates the driveway aprons from the street pavement it is not anticipated <br />that any of the existing residential driveway aprons will be impacted. <br />Pedestrian Facilities: <br />A 10 foot wide bituminous trail exists along the north side of Sunwood Drive throughout <br />the project limits. A 10 foot trail also exists along the south side of Sunwood Drive from <br />Potassium Street to 145th Lane. Up to 20 pedestrian curb ramps exist along this corridor <br />and may need to be replaced with ADA compliant curb ramps since the abutting street is <br />being improved. Staff will evaluate this in more detail during preparation of plans and <br />specifications to determine which pedestrian curb ramps will need to be improved. <br />4.2 Stormwater Improvements <br />No storm sewer construction or repair work is proposed. Only minor structure casting <br />adjustments are proposed. <br />4.3 Water Main Improvements <br />No watermain construction or repair work is proposed. Only minor gate valve casting <br />adjustments are proposed. <br />4.4 Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br />No sanitary sewer construction or repair work is proposed with this project. Only minor structure <br />casting adjustments are proposed. <br />4.5 Construction Methods <br />Sections of damaged concrete curb and gutter will be removed and replaced with new concrete <br />curb and gutter which matches the existing curb and gutter. <br />A 2" depth mill will be performed on the entire street segment, requiring existing metal castings <br />for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain infrastructure to be adjusted down. <br />The street will then be swept to remove all loose debris, and all metal castings will then be raised <br />to final grade. A coating of bituminous tack coat material will then be applied to the milled <br />pavement surface to adhere the bituminous overlay to the milled bituminous pavement surface. <br />The entire street segment will then receive a 2" bituminous overlay. <br />Pavement striping will be completed last. <br />Feasibility Report <br />2016 Street Maintenance Program, Division B: Overlay Improvements <br />City of Ramsey Project No. 16-00 <br />Page 5 <br />
