CC Regular Session 2. 2. <br />Meeting Date: 04/12/2016 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Presentation of Memorial Gudbrandsdal Rosemaled Plaque - Sons of Norway <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The Sons of Norway Lodge or Vennekretsen (circle of friends) has asked for an opportunity to present the City of <br />Ramsey with an original handcrafted Scandinavian Gudbrandsdal Rosemaled commemorative plaque in recognition <br />and gratitude for the City's support of the organization's programs providing scholarships for young people to learn <br />traditional Scandinavian art creation. In an email to staff, Mr. Bomier, Sons of Norway, stated the following: "We <br />look forward to an opportunity to express our appreciation to the City of Ramsey for the support they have provided <br />our organization's efforts to preserve Nordic art through our scholarship program for young artists learning the <br />traditional Nordic art form of Rosemaling at your Elmcrest facility."
