Further Discussion: Chairman Peterson inquired if 'conditions' also refers to <br />variances to platting procedure, soil borings and topographic data. <br />Commissioner Deemer replied that this motion is to recommend preliminary plat <br />approval contingent upon items listed in City Engineer letter being met; <br />Council can determine whether or not variances are necessary and grant them. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners LaDue, <br />Hendriksen, Deemer and Kennen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners <br />Johnson and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Discussion Raaardina Rural Residential Densi ~w: :Pol!qv: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner De~mer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen, for <br />further discussion, to recommend that City Council adopt a resolution to <br />establishing a policy for implementing the rural residential density standard <br />as stated in Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hendriksen amended the motion to include <br />that should there ever be a time where the City has totally exhausted it's <br />undeveloped area as credit towards developing area, an amended Comprehensive <br />Plan will be necessary. Commissioner Deemer seconded the amendment to the <br />motion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners LaDue, De~mer, <br />Hendriksen and Kennen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and <br />Zimmerman. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INI~dT <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that Commissioner Kennen will be resigning from the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission and thanked Commissioner Kennen for his service <br />and contributions to the 'Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner De~mer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue requesting <br />that City Staff advertise the vacancy on the Planning Commission and notify <br />past applicants for the Planning Commission of the upcoming vacancy. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners LaDue, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen and Kennen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and <br />Zimmerman. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the fact that the Charter requires all board and <br />commission vacancies being published in the City Newsletter; the next issue of <br />the City Newsletter is May, 1985 and applicant interviews would have to be <br />conducted at the June, 1985 Planning and Zoning meeting. Commissioner Kennen <br />stated that he would be willing to delay submitting a formal written <br />resignation until a replacement has been recommended for appointment. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn this special meeting of the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />March 26, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
