PUBLIC HEARING <br />CITY OF RAMSEY PLANNING & ZONING COmmISSION <br /> ANOF, A COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and noCice thereof, the City of Ramsey's Planning & <br />Zoning Commission held a p~lic hearing on September 18, 1979, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15255 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />5530,3. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson <br />Ben Deemer <br />John Hubbard <br />Ron West <br />Gerald Zimmeman <br /> <br />Chaiman Peterson called th~ public hearing to order at 7:25 P.M. and <br />announced the purpose Of th~ hearing is to consider a request of Mr. <br />Albert Swen to gain access to a landlocked parcel in order to convey <br />the land (for sale of real ~state)~ Property involved: NWl/4 of SE 1/4 <br />of Section 5, Township 32, Range 25, subject to Rural Coop Power Association. <br /> <br />Mr. Swen appeared before the Commission and explained his pmposal. <br />He is seeking access to hisipaYcel (7800) of 40 acres through Outlot A <br />in Deerwood Addition so tha~ he Can sell it. He said he has had the <br />property surveyed and planslto-haVe a 66 foot road easement with 35 feet <br />being sold to the party who!bm/s parcel 7800 and 55 feet being kept by <br />himself as part of parcel 8400 (his homestead). <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson informed ~r.' Swen that the access road would have to <br />be brought up to City stand~r~s and that no building permits could be <br />issued on this property unl~sS a variance could be obtained due to the <br />fact that the property would not meet ordinance reqUirements of 300 feet frontage <br />on a public road. <br /> <br />Mr. Swen commented that Gibbons Street is just gravel and he questioned what <br />type of road he would have ~o iinstall. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson said it may lbe possible that he could get a variance on <br />blacktopping, but he would ~ave to appeal to the Council for this type of <br />request. ~ <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Nasby, 7657 166th!Avenue, was present and stated that he is <br />considering purchasing thisiprOperty and that ~fhe does he would want to <br />build on it about October of this year. <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Jacobson, 17623 Mmrmoset Street, appeared before the Commission <br />to seek znformatzon as to hpw ~the fzllzng zn of th6. ~land necessary to make <br />a useable road would affect~ the drainage in the area. <br /> <br /> ~ PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ; P&Z <br /> <br /> <br />
