Page 1
9/4/79
P.H.

PLANNING AND ZONING COMI~SSION
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Planning and
Zoning Commission held a public hearing on September 4, 1979, at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota
55303.

Chairman Ken Peterson Called the public hearing to order at 7:35
with the following in attendance:

Merabers Present:

Chairman Ken Peterson
Art Dunn
Benj mmin Deemer
Gerald Zimmerman
Kathy Schneider
John Hubbard
Ron West

Also Present:

Lloyd Schnelle,
City
Administrator

Peter Raatikka,
City Engineer

Mrs. McGregor appeared~before the Commission to review her request to
plat her property at 6845 West Highway 10, Anoka, l~nnesota into three
(3) lots. She plans to locate her proposed intoxicating off-sale liquor
store on one of the parcels and her restaursmt on one of the parcels.

Mr. George DeZiel, owner of DeZiel's Supper Club next to McGregor's
property, was present and presented a letter regarding the egress to
Highway #10 from between DeZiel's and McGregors. The egress was made
useable by former owner of the land, Gilyards, and if there is a change
in ownership of the property the agreement on the egress will then be
void. He is concerned about the egress situation if the subdivided
parcel is sold.

Chairman Peterson asked about location of a service drive on the
DeZiel and McGregor properties.

Mr. DeZiel definitely felt that it would not be a good idea to locate
a service road in front of his building but would agree to one in the
rear. He said he esti~ates he has 150 feet from his swishing pool to
the railroad right-of-way.

There was no further citizen input.

Hearing adjourned at 7:45 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Planning Secretary
