He suggests all parking be r~gulated in the side or rear yard or at least have <br />a very good setback for the front property line for' asthetic reasons. <br /> <br />Ron West said it is a good point and that a minimum of five feet between the parking <br />areas could serve as a buffer strip between businesses, this should be sufficient, <br />with curbs at each side. <br /> <br />Kathleen Schneider questioned who would be responsible to provide the buffer between <br />the two properties. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle said he recommends green areas and staying away from barriers. <br /> <br />Dexter Marston said that from a functional standpoint the yard area should or <br />will be used for snow storage in the winter time so the amount of yard area is <br />important in this respect or they will end up with someone dumping snow into the <br />street or on someone elsefs property so that they can use all their area for <br />parking. <br /> <br />Art Dunn asked what size lots Mr. Marston is talking about. <br /> <br />Mr. Marston said lots less than one acre, smaller lots with utilities. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer said that snow storage is a very good point. <br /> <br />Mr. Marston said the developer should be required to show what he is going to do in <br />his yard amea, indicate whether they are going to seed, sod, how many trees are <br />to be planted, what variety, what size and also include provision in there that he is <br />responsible for maintaining the yard area. The 1st Monday and the 3rd Tuesday(6.:30 P.M.)-which <br />will be for a work session only.
