From: Bill Gleason [mailto:billgleasonjr@gmail.com]
Sent: Tuesday, May 03, 2016 4:18 PM
To: Patrick Brama <pbrama@ci.ramsey.mn.us>
Subject: Re:
Mr Patrick Brama,
My name is Bill Gleason I have been in the residential real estate business since 1974. My father
was a land developer and builder and I grew up doing skilled labor on new homes. In 1978 I
went to work for a company located in Brooklyn Park called Brook Park Realty as their sales
manager in the new construction depailinent. We basically developed residential lots, sold the
lots to builders, assisted the builders with the designing and marketing of the homes they built.
At our peak we had 12 builders and 42 sales people. We developed in the cities of Anoka,
Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Apple Valley, Farmington, Lakeville Savage and
Brooklyn Center. Edinbugh USA was our best known project. My brother John Gleason, and
myself started a building company called Eagle Crest Town Homes. We at one time were
developing over 100 homes a year.
I am currently working with a group of investors and builders in four locations Stonebay of
Orono, part of Wild Flowers Meadows in Otsego, Prairie Cove in Otsego ( used to be Kittredge
.Crossings) in Otsego and Cobblestone in Apple Valley. These projects have all been re designed
in one for or another. I do the re development and design process and then bring a builder into
build it. Upon project approval we cash out the land owner. I start the project and follow it
through until the last home is closed. I will bring examples of the current projects to the meeting.
Sincerely
Bill Gleason
