<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #16-04-060 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #16-00, DIVISION B; 2016 MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on February <br />8, 2016, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />bituminous pavement mill and overlay improvements to Sunwood Drive from Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard to the bridge east of 147th Lane and west of Krypton Street as Division B of the 2016 <br />Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant work as needed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on March 22, <br />2016, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for <br />April 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for <br />said street in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br />Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City’s Special Assessments Policy; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing for the proposed <br />improvements on April 12, 2016. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report accepted by Council on March 22, 2016. <br /> <br />2) Pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, and in accordance with Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey’s adopted Special Assessments <br />Policy, benefiting properties shall be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the <br />improvements, which have an estimated total cost of $301,000. <br /> <br />3) The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Resolution #16-04-060 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />
