P & Z-1- <br />5/7/79 <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning <br /> City of Ramsey <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Planning and Zoning <br />Commission held a Public' Hearing on May .~, 1979 at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Now-then Bl%d. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the Public Hearing to order at 7:40 p.m. with <br />the following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson <br />Kathy Schneider <br />Art Dunn <br />Gerry Zimmerman <br /> <br />John Hubbard <br />Ben Deemer <br />Ron West <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br />Lloyd Schnelle, City Adm. <br />Peter Raatikka, City Eng. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson explained that this was a Public Hearing to discuss and <br />receive input regarding the Arthur Anderson'Preliminary~Plat. <br /> <br />Mr. John Anderly, 16917 Bison N.W. asked if the Commission was aware of the <br />land dispute in the area, and gave a brief explaination of the problem. <br />Anderly stated that he does not feel any additional building should be allowed <br />until this dispute is settled, and actual alignment of road is determined. <br />Mr. Anderly also stated that he did not feel the road would stand up to any <br />additional traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. Sanders, 17135 Bison N.W. Asked if he could come in and do the same sub- <br />division with his property, and was advised by Mr. Schnelle that he would <br />have to follow the same platting proceedure. Ken Peterson advised him that <br />we would have to examine the particular case and could not say anything <br />definite tonite. <br /> <br />When the point was brought up that a basement was already in on one lot, <br />Mr. Schnelle explained that one building permit could be issued for the entire <br />parcel. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that a variance could be granted due to special cir- <br />cumstances, and asked what the neighbors would like to suggest? A residenty <br />stated that he lived at 16926 Bison and feels it should be left as one lot and <br />that the city should follow the present ordinance. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed 7:55. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Schneider <br /> <br /> <br />
