Planning g Zoning City of Ramsey County of Anoka State of Minnesota 74 Z -,t.- 5/7/79 A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Planning ¢ Zoning Commission was held on May 7~ 1979 at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. Meeting was called to order by Chairman Ken Peterson at 8:31 p.m. with the following in attendance: Ken Peterson Kathy Schneider APt Dunn Ron West Gerry Zinunerman John Hubbard Ben Deemer Also present: Lloyd Schnelle, City Adm. Peter Raatikka, City Eng. Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved as read. Citizens Input: Mr. Gerry Martin was present to explain that he feels that Mr. Greenberg has not honored his statement that roads would be in as soon as possible in Gsteway North, Mr. Martin explained that he has been waiting two years for this road, and that he cannot .get any definite answer as to when it will be completed. Martin suggested that the Commission withhold building permits, and stated that he is not asking for all the roads to be completed, just his stretch. Mr. Raatikka explained that permits would not be issued until roads are graded and class 5'd. Ron West pointed out that present construction is being done on parcels subdivided by metes and bounds. Kathy Schneider stated that she remen~ered Mr. Martin urging approval of the' plat at the Public Hear- ing because of the road situation, but felt Mr. Martin should have made a bigger point of it at that time, Since now that final plat approval has been given, there isn't much we can do except suggest to Mr. Greenberg that this problem be handled. APt Dunn stated that at this point it is a problem between Mr. Martin and the developer. Mr. Schnelle explained that he has called Mr. Greenberg regarding this, but that so far have not heard anything back, but will follow up on it. It was the consensus of the Comraission that City Staff inform Mr. Green:~ berg of the mat~er, and ask that he honor his committment regarding this stretch of road. Ken Peterson asked Mr. Martin to keep us informed. Craig Pladson was present regarding placing a self service carwash next to Aydt's Auto Body. Mr. Pladson was added to the ~genda. Approval of Minutes Motion by Kathy Schneider, seconded by Art Dunn to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing on 4/2/79 regarding Ramsey's Shoppers Mall- Keith Cable as read. Motion carried 4-0. Gerry Zimmerman, John Hubbard & Ben Deemer abstained. Motion by Ron West, seconded by Kathy Schneider to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing on 4/2/79 r~garding Westby's Premliminary Plat as read[ Motion carried 4-0. Gerry Zimmerman, John Hubbard, Ben Deemer abstained. Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by Kathy Schneider to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of 4/2/79 as read. Motion carried 5-0. J. H~bbard & B. Deemer ~ abstained. Motion by Kathy Schneider, seconded by Art Dunn-to approve the minutes or the Public Hearing on the Critical Rivers Plan of 4/17/79 as read. Motion carried 3-0'. Gerry Zimmerman, Ron West, John Hubbard, Ben Deemer abstained.
