He stated they have properties they might want to <br />get back on the market and may want to discount. <br />Member Williams asked if there were any other properties like this or were they just talking <br />about The COR. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated there are single-family properties but the ones the City owns are <br />this one, the U-shaped parcel, and some land in The COR that is more multi -family. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill stated the single family was geared more towards the <br />north side of Bunker Lake Boulevard and these are the two most challenging parcels from a <br />development perspective. <br />Motion by Member Hardin, seconded by Member Burandt, to recommend to City Council to <br />approve the Purmort Purchase Agreement for Outlot F of Ramsey Town Center 8th Addition. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Skaff, Members Hardin, Burandt, Riley, and <br />Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Steffen and Member Brunt. <br />5. MEMBER / STAFF UPDATE <br />The EDA reviewed the Staff Update. <br />5.01: Anoka Area Chamber Manufacture CoHort — Workforce Development <br />Mr. Pete Turok, Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce, updated the Board on the Workforce <br />Development at the Manufacturing Coalition. He noted he is on the Minnesota Chamber of <br />Commerce Executives (MCCE) Board and no one is engaged with manufacturers. <br />Vice Chairperson Skaff stated social media is the key to reaching the younger demographics. <br />Mr. Turok agreed. He stated they also need to train young people how to interact within the <br />company and not just how to work the equipment. <br />Member Hardin stated it is not just machine operators that are needed. There are many different <br />positions within manufacturing that need young people and training. <br />Mr. Turok stated that was correct.
