Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-05-098 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION MASTER PARTNERSHIP CONTRACT WORK ORDER <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-23 <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY 47 PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a political subdivision, organized and existing under <br />the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey executed Limited Use Permit #0206-0028 with the <br />State of Minnesota, Depaitinent of Transportation, for the purpose of constructing, operating and <br />maintaining pedestrian trail facilities within the right-of-way of Trunk Highway 47 (TH 47 = <br />C.S. 0206); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is party to Master Partnership Contract #1001234 with <br />the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation, for the purpose of undertaking <br />collaborative efforts for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of state and local <br />roads by writing Work Orders against the Master Partnership Contract to provide the greatest <br />speed and flexibility in responding to identified needs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to construct, operate and maintain a pedestrian <br />crosswalk on TH 47 at Nowthen Boulevard/Anoka County State -Aid Highway 5 (CSAH 5) and <br />Xkimo Street to provide a pedestrian connection between existing trail facilities located north of <br />CSAH 5 and west of TH 47, and east of TH 47 within MnDOT right-of-way, designated as <br />Improvement Project #15-23, TH 47 Pedestrian Crosswalk Improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation, has reviewed and <br />approved the City's plans for Improvement Project #15-23, and approves of entering into a Work <br />Order for constructing said crosswalk improvements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to enter into a <br />Work Order with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation, for the purpose <br />of constructing a pedestrian crosswalk on TH 47 at Nowthen Boulevard/CSAH 5 and <br />Xkimo Street, designated as Improvement Project #15-23, TH 47 Pedestrian Crosswalk <br />Improvements. <br />RESOLUTION #16-05-098 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
