Planning and Zoning <br /> March 7, 1977 <br /> <br />Dick Larson from Edina tRealty Company, Realtor for Mr. Daughtery, was <br />present to state that ~e had contacted the neighbors as follows: <br /> George W. Roac~ to the south <br /> Dale W. Muelle~ to the southeast <br /> Sharon Theize 4o the northeast <br /> Ron Stewart to ithe north <br /> The above adjacent landowners did not object and had signed a paper <br /> accordin~l.v. <br /> <br />Mr. Daughtery also wanqed'to move in a 12' X 45' building in which to <br />raise the rabbits. He ~ould have to contact the Buildinq Inspector on <br />that matter. Mr. Daug~tery indicated that he wanted to raise ten to <br />fifteen rabbits at a tine. <br /> <br />Ron West moved to recontmend to the City Council to grant a variance to <br />Lyle Daughtery under 7~-2 that a buildine be moved in to 15157 Yakima <br />Street N.W. subject to Ithe Building Inspector's approval and to raise <br />rabbits as a hobby onl.~. Second by Ken Peterson, Carried 7 - O. <br /> <br />Duke Grosslein - Grossllein Beverage <br />Variance for a set-bac~. Mr. Grosslein appeared before the Planning <br />and Zonine Commission i~ person. He wants to put another loading dock on <br />and add o~to an existinlg cooler. This would make his set-back 30' <br />instead of 50' <br /> <br />Brad Bodle moved to reCommend to the City Council to grant a variance to <br />Grosslein Beverage fro~ Ordinance 74-2 (lot and yard requirement) to <br />reduce the side .yard requirement by 20 feet. Second by Gerald Zimmerman. <br />Carried 7 - O. <br /> <br />Bob Muller - Owner Bob'~ Country Market <br /> <br />Bob Muller appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission to explain <br />what he is intending t~ do with the Commercial area that he owns adjacent <br />to his store. He wantsi to build a ten thousdand square foot Super-Valu <br />Store, adjacent to his ~tOre. No action was needed on this item as <br />Mr. Muller only wanted ~o let the Commission know what was ~oing on. <br /> <br />Discussion on the sampl~ house plans that were presented before the <br />Planning and Zoning Con~nission by Mayor Cox on the last months meeting, <br />using wood foundations.! Most members had not seen all wooden homes a~d <br />could not for an ooinio~ as to whether or not they might be acceptable <br />in the City. Ron West~who is a professional house builder, was chosen <br />to investigate and rep~r~ back later to Planning and Zoning on this <br />matter. At that time, ~ecommendations could be made to the City Council. <br />Discussion among Planning and Zoning members followed on different asoects <br />of duties of Planning a~d~Zoning members. <br /> <br /> <br />
