<br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />. ...l. <br /> <br />'Wv~ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY CITY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br />February 3, 1975 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Sorteberg, in order to interview a candidate for the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. Present were Mr. Bodle, Mr. Emmans, Mr. Fossum, <br />Mr. Pittman, Mr. Gamec and Mrs. Guy. <br /> <br />Mr. Jerry Zimmerman worked for the Anoka County Surveyor's Depart- <br />ment in Anoka. He checks out plats. He used to check out the <br />final plats for the County. He deals with the problems that come <br />into the surveyor's office and helps the County Highway Department. <br />He would be glad to help here in any way he can. <br /> <br />Mr. Fossum moved the minutes be approved as mailed. Seconded by <br />Mr. Emmans. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Holm-Carson Sketch Plan: Mr. Norman Holm, Mr. Richard Carson, Mr. <br />Norman Hoium and Mr. Larry Seiberlich were present. Mr. Seiberlich <br />made the presentation on this sketch plan. There are 9$.4 acres <br />with 50 lots, about two acres per lot. There are 7,000 lineal feet <br />of roadway with 11.5 acres in roads. There are 12.7 acres of open <br />space. The municipal park contains 4.5 acres. The B-1 zone on <br />Highway #47 is 300 feet deep with frontage road/and parking area. <br />There are 4.5 acres in the i-I zone on Industry Ave. They want <br />something put in the i-I area that would be in keeping with the <br />residential area. Mr. Sorteberg stated that a month ago the Plan- <br />ning and Zoning Commission reiterated the fact that they did not <br />want i-I zones rezoned to residential because the City is in need <br />of industrial and commercial areas and that we are at the present <br />time looking into more of this type of zoning then we have at the <br />present time. Mr. Gamec moved we hold off a decision on this plat <br />until we come to a decision on rezoning. Seconded by Mr. Bodle. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. <br />on <br />be made <br /> <br />There were two rezoning requests from Mr. Gilbert Menkveld. <br />Sorteberg had talked to him and informed him we are working <br />industrial and commercial areas and that no decisions would <br />on rezoning requests until possibly some time in March. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Wojick had called to ask to have a sign put up on the <br />property where he is selling used cars at Highway No. 10 and No. <br />56. Mr. Bodle moved we inform Mr. Wojick he should obtain a non- <br />conforming use permit for this business through the Zon ing Offi- <br />cer and that he is in violation of Sec. 6 of Ordinance 73-5. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Fossum. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Fossum moved we send the same information to Root's Ranch <br />used car sales business on Highway #10.
