REGULAR, MEETINC OF R.~MSEY CITY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> January 6, 1975 <br /> <br />The meeti~g was called to order by Mr. Sorteberg, the Chairman, <br />at 7:~5 p.m. Presen'i~ were Mr. Bodle, Mr. Gamec, Mr. Emmans, Mr. <br />Fossum and Mrs° Guy. <br /> <br />Mr. Bodle moved the ~.utes of the meetings be accepted as mailed. <br />Seconded t~y Mr. G~ae~:~ Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Gamec moved we r~commend ~he Gilson plat be accepted but <br />based on the fac~ theft the Park Board also make a recommendation <br />on the park land on '~his plat. Mr. Gamec rescinded this motion. <br />Mr. Gamec moved we r~commend this Gilson plat be accepted as pre- <br />sented,~ No second s~ the motion died. <br /> <br />Mr. Em~an~ moved we ~c~:~ept this plat and instead of park land, <br />we accept money and ~leelare the proposed park land as an outlot. <br />Seconded 'by Mr. Bodl~:~ Mr. Emmans, Mr. Bodle and Mr. Sorteberg <br />voted yes and Mr~ O~e~~ and Mr. Fossum voted no. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Hall: He wants '~o use the Lyndsey house across the highway <br />from the City Hall a~ ~n office. Mr. Hall was informed he could <br />only have one other ioerson working in this office. Mr. Bodle moved <br />Mr. Hall be given peF~ission to have an office in this house with <br />one other person wo~i~g there. Seconded by Mr. Emmans. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Steffens will be here Monday eveningto meet with the Plan- <br />ning and Zoning memb~rs to discuss industrial and commercial <br />areas in the City. This meeting will also be attended by Mr. <br />Prause from Coon Rap~d~ and Mr. ~on Greenberg if theywill accept <br />our invitation. Elevations for grading in the commercial and <br />industrial areas should be referred to theengineer. <br /> <br />Bruce Bacon: He has been driving on Armstrong Blvd. and asked <br />questions about beaw~r dams in this area near the gun club~, road. <br />He was told these manurers come under ~he jurisdiction of the game <br />warden~ He determines these things by the water level. He asked <br />if there .~s a policy o~ beavers? Answer: the Department of Nat- <br />ural Resources somet~.mes has to blow up the beaver d~s because <br />they make the water ~lood the roads. One time they plugged up a <br />culvert. Mr. Bacon ~!~hinks it might be a good way to spend park <br />money to ~aise the r,~ds for ~he beavers. <br /> <br />The dog smendment dr~w~ up by Mr. Goodrich was studied and dis- <br />cussed~ Mr. Emmans ~oved we recommend this dog amendment be <br />passed~ Seconded by M~ Fossumo Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion on am~ndm~nt to park ordinance drawn ~up By Mr. Good- <br />rich.
